This dehumidifier does exactly what we need it to do, even here in humid Deep South were summer dew points are typically in the mid 70s or higher. I use it in a 15x25 room, and I only need to empty it every 3 or 4 days. Impressive, especially with the difference you can feel walking into that room. Emptying is very easy. All in all, I am very pleased so far.

Our 350 sq ft basement room felt very cool and damp. We installed the Dehumidifier and within 24 hours we could feel the difference. Currently we have the unit running on a the timer and it has been very effective.

I use this in my basement - it's a great dehumidifier. Fairly quiet, easy to operate and removes a lot of moisture in a short amount of time. Has both the bucket and option to attach hose for continuous draining. Bucket is easy to remove, empty and replace, Price point was fair. I searched for the best units of 2025 and wanted to get a household name. Glad to have found this machine. My only complaint would be that the power cord could be longer.

Been using for a few weeks and works great. Bathroom used to get very humid and steamy while showering even with fan on. Now with using this dehumidifier, even on low, mirrors don't even fog up in the slighest.I used to have mold spots that would grow back within a few days of cleaning but that has stopped as well. Large drain bucket is a big plus. The only drawback is the air exhausted is vey warm but I will gladly deal with that if it means no humidity problems. I have an old Frigidaire unit in the basement that continues to work great after many years. Love Frigidaire dehumidifiers so far!

I had a minor plumbing disaster and desperately needed a dehumidifier. I have had it for less than a month so I can't speak to durability, but the unit is easy to use and I have poured off many gallons of water it collected. It took about a week for the mitigation team to arrive and when they did they told me that things were looking pretty dry in the accessible areas (they had to open more wall so it's no replacement for pros). I'm glad I got it.

A friend told me about the Frigidaire Dehumidifier she has for her apartment and how much water it collects. I bought the one for 1500 square feet and wow it collects so much water. I can keep my AC on 77 and it is cool inside. My electric bill has gone down. I recommend it!

Purchased this model several weeks ago on Amazon Prime. Similar price, with next day delivery in my region. Arrived at the very start of the Midwest Heat Dome with 90%+ humidity. And now it's raining for days on end. I'm on this page for the download manuals.For the most part, I'm really happy with the performance. I'm emptying the tank 2-3x a day. I'm in a slab construction townhouse, approx 1200 sqft, with the HVAC fan running 24/7 keeping the humidity and temp even throughout. I bought the 4 year add-on Asurion warranty on amazon for $36, seeing the 20% or so negative reviews. PLUSSES: Powerful fan, and low noise level WHEN placed on a slab floor. (could be basement, concrete garage, etc.) Because the tank is smaller, it's easier to empty out into the loo, with the lower edges of tank just covered by the diameter of the loo. aka no dripping on the floor if careful. It's also easier to lift and pour into a kitchen or utility sink. (I'm strong enough to lift many times the weight, but I'm thinking of seniors who might be weighing the merits of larger tank sizes. Or adults making children empty the tank as a daily chore.) When it's not raining but 90 outside, I'll sometimes empty the tank on outdoor landscaping. POTENTIAL NEGATIVES: The compressor is too loud for an upper floor of a wood frame house. The compressor makes a buzzing, almost pulsating sound that can be heard on the 2nd floor, heard from downstairs. and probably heard by my shared wall neighbors. So I had to bring it back downstairs to the slab level. If you're in a Slab Floor low rise / high rise, or have operating space in poured concrete bathrooms like in Victorian/Edwardian houses or similar? You'll probably be OK. But the sound is way too grading for wood frame construction.ANOTHER NEGATIVE, and I only noticed this by accident. My Electricity flickered during a storm for a split second. The kitchen appliance clocks kept their time, my central AC kept going uninterrupted. But this unit shut down completely with the split second disruption. Requiring me to push power to start it up again. So if you're gonna put it in a basement, you'll need to check on it every few days to make sure it hasn't shut off. You're not going to want this for a cabin, beach house, or similar property that you're expecting to leave for months at a time.LEAKING COMPLAINTS on other reviews. Make sure the water hose cap is tight! I'm pretty sure that's where the leaking complaints are coming from. I haven't had the leaking complaints after tightening the cap.

This is our 2nd Frigidaire dehumidifier like this, so we knew what we were getting into. The unit itself works great. The major complaint is that the bucket is a terrible design. First, you have to pull the plastic lid apart to remove the handle so that the lid comes off. This feels like you are going to break the plastic. We just leave the handle off all of the time and awkwardly carry the bucket without it rather than try to take it on and off when we clean it. Second--rather than being like a bucket-- one big container that would be easy to clean- this one is shaped in such a way that there are a thousand tiny crevices that are nearly impossible to clean. We've used bottle brushes, toothbrushes--nothing reaches the mold and dirty water in those areas. And it's sharp. The plastic rather than being smooth and rounded has several extremely sharp pieces that stick out to stab you while you try to clean it. Whoever designed it clearly never tried to clean it or surely they would have come up with a better design.

This dehumidifier replaced a 30 year old Magic Chef, which was still going strong but used more than double the electricity than this one. Also, it is much quieter and does an excellent job of drying my basement of of over 750 sf.

I received a Frigidaire FFAD2234W1 dehumidifier as a Christmas gift in 2024. It had minimal use. I emptied the bucket three times between the time I got it and mid-April. Now, the filter reset light is flashing, and after exhausting all other possibilities, I determined that the float switch is not working. It can be replaced, but it is NOT an easy repair. I must say that I am quite surprised and disappointed that this product has broken down so quickly and with such little use. I called their customer service and was told that the product is out of warranty and that I would have to pay a fee for them to set up a repair. Bad product, bad customer service, bad company. Do yourself a favor and avoid not only this dehumidifier but ALL Frigidaire products.

I would love to be able to fully disable the water system. I don't have a water line and it periodically tries to fill a tank and I worry about the motor. Otherwise the use of space and quality is great.

My son has 3 of these units at his 2 story house with basement in Maine. He doesn't have a HVAC. He highly recommended this de-humidifier to me after 1.5 yrs of usage. I live in Austin, TX where the humidity climbs to 60% during days of continued rain or humid air flow off the Gulf of Mexico. I have a new HVAC (2.5 Ton 65 SEER), but I have to run it at freezing temperatures to reduce the humidity when it climbs into 60's%. But, not any more! I use the 22 pint Frigidaire when the above conditions occur & it restores humidity to my comfort level in less than 1 day. My apartment is 1,900 sq ft. The unit weighs 33 lbs, has 4 *quality* wheels & is easy to operate on manual or it can be programmed to come on for X hours or when the humidity level climbs outside your comfort zone. It's attractive and takes up the space of a medium sized indoor garbage container. When registering the product I discovered the unit is actually an Electrolux (see picture). Electrolux bought Frigidaire in 1986. I love Electrolux products / appliances!

I am so happy with this dehumidifier, I knew I had a moisture issue in my condo, I replaced my a/c, keep it at 74 degrees with fans on all the time so never could have imagined or understood why I was getting mildew on black clothes, leather goods and furniture. I set up my dehumidifier in my bedroom and it was filling up with water (22 pints) daily.

I got this to replace the older version of this same dehumidifier. The old still works and it stayed in a sealed crawl space in the humid south. It™™s 9 years old. I got a new one since I replaced my 18 year old HVAC. This thing extended the life of my old HVAC (which was still working just inefficient after 18 yrs). I use a hose and set this up on a table so the hose runs down and outside to continuously drain. Zero mold. Dramatic air quality difference in the crawl and HVAC/whole house. Highly recommend this. An expensive dehumidifier added to the HVAC is thousands. You could buy 10 of these for that cost.

My old Frigidaire dehumidifier lasted 20 years. I purchased a new Frigidaire dehumidifier, and my first observation was how quiet it was when running. I have had it now for one week. We had a tcl 22 pint dehumidifier and it died after two years. So we got this one and it™™s amazing! We live next to the beach so it™™s wet out. A lot. This dehumidifier by Frigidaire was packed well and setup was super intuitive. A big positive in these connected devices world, this dehumidifier is NOT phoning home to its masters overseas as the tcl was. A second plus for me was because of my declining eyesight, I can™™t see light letters in a white background. This one has a black background with white letters on the panel. It works great for me! Highly recommended!

Seems to be working great. Handle is a little difficult to get off to empty the bucket and is a little challenging to get into the crevices of the bucket to clean. But otherwise good!

This dehumidifier works as described. I recently remodeled my entire basement floor and I noticed my new bookshelf and other items were warping. Also white spots were appearing. My original thermostat did not read the high humidity but when I got a new thermostat it tested the humidity and it was pretty high. I guess humidity is not necessarily a hot feeling. Well I looked for dehumidifiers and saw this was a good one. I bought it and the results were impressive. The shelves were no longer soft and bending. My doors were no longer tight and of course no more white spots. There is a setting as to what should be the right humidity. Whenever the humidity raises, the dehumidifier turns on. It™™s easy to remove the water with the easily removable tray. I had to do this a lot for two weeks but now it™™s barely anything since the humidity is now manageable. Frigidaire makes an excellent product. I highly recommend it.
